Greetings Parents,
It has been an excellent week in 4th Grade. They have worked through Chapter 1 in Math and will have their first test on Tuesday. In Science, we are continuing to learn about the characteristics of living things. We will be moving on to the life processes of plants early next week. We have spent time in Social Studies reviewing map skills and introducing the first unit. In English, we have reviewed proper discussion and presentation behavior. We are now working on addressing the steps of the writing process. The initial Reading classes were spent learning various strategies that the students will continue to utilize and refine throughout the year. We also began our first unit, Journeys, and the first story, Akiak. Please let me know if you have any questions about class material.
I would like to remind you that the buses only take children home after clubs on Monday and Wednesday. If your child participates in after school activities on Tuesday or Thursday, you will need to make arrangements to pick them up.
